The Music Textile Tree gathers materials from Song of the Female Textile Workers and Song: The Future to develop a new immersive digital performance, which aims to further revived shared memories of industrial in/tangible heritage, and deepen UK-China audiences connectivity.

3rd March meeting at Sheffield

I drove to Sheffield and met with HUMAN and Megaverse teams. Ben from Megaverse just came back from a three-week trip in Australia, he was still jet lagged. The discussion focused on the next phase of Bridging the Gaps. Learning from the previous two projects, we are considering not to involve language. Instead, using all the visual materials collected from the previous two projects, music and songs, we propose an idea of a jigsaw or Nick's IndusTree. Finally, we have The Music Textile Tree, which uses a 'tree' base images/music and ask audiences across UK-China to submit images and music to build the IndusTree, develop it and gamify it. This is our latest 'immersive performance'!
